According to Bernama, 19 people were injured and 6,113 families in 16 districts were impacted. 5,639 homes were damaged throughout the island country. The DMC is assessing the damage, and those affected will be compensated, said Deputy Director Pradeep Kodippili. Mandous has decreased, but Sri Lankans should still take precautions, the DMC said.
