UAE and Malaysian foreign ministers discuss enhanced cooperation

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in productive discussions with his Malaysian counterpart, Zambry Abdul Kadir, during his official visit to Kuala Lumpur on June 15, 2023. The diplomatic rendezvous focused on fortifying the already robust bilateral ties between the two nations and paving the way for an enriched cooperation across several sectors.

UAE and Malaysian foreign ministers discuss enhanced cooperation

Sheikh Abdullah and Abdul Kadir explored avenues for heightening collaboration in fields including the economy, trade, investment, energy, and climate. Recognizing the considerable potential for mutual growth, the discussion highlighted the need for deeper partnerships that can foster development in both nations.

The dialogue also brought to the table significant regional and global developments, ensuring that both countries stay aligned on these matters. The ministers reaffirmed the solid friendship between the UAE and Malaysia and expressed their anticipation for a prosperous era of cooperation and partnership.

Sheikh Abdullah’s visit was warmly welcomed by the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasizing the significance of such interactions in revealing new opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The meeting was also attended by several other dignitaries, including Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Commercial Affairs; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Advanced Science and Technology; Maha Barakat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Health; and Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia.
