The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is powered by the most potent four-cylinder production engine in the world. The BRABUS powerplant engineers make the two-liter turbo even more powerful and, of course, they do so with TÜV approval and the exemplary three-year or 100,000-kilometer/62,000-mile BRABUS Tuning Warranty. The B45 – 450 performance upgrade bumps peak power to 331 kW / 450 hp (444 bhp). At the same time, peak torque grows to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). After the BRABUS high-performance treatment, the all-wheel-drive sports car shoots from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds.

Tailor-made BRABUS Monoblock Z 20-inch wheels give the top-of-the-range A-Class model even more exciting looks. Height-adjustable sports springs lower the power compact by up to 30 millimeters (1.2 in). Exclusive accessories are available to make the cockpit even sportier and more individual. The gamut of the BRABUS engine tuning range for Mercedes-Benz automobiles runs from performance kits for virtually all current gasoline and diesel models to the recently unveiled BRABUS 900 increased-displacement engine in the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “ONE OF TEN.”

In addition to outstanding performance, the focus is always on flawless smooth-running, maximum durability and exemplary environmental friendliness. The BRABUS performance kit unleashes the dormant reserves in this four-cylinder turbo without impairing the robustness and durability. BRABUS recommends MOTUL high-performance lubricants. The engine tuning comprises more than just special mapping for the A 45 S’s electronic engine management system. The conversion also includes a BRABUS PowerXtra CPC auxiliary control unit, the BRABUS BoostXtra adapter, which lets the engine produce a sporty blow-off noise like a racecar, and a special duct for the air box.
After the modification, the turbocharged four-valve engine produces 21 kW / 29 hp (28 bhp) more peak power and adds 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque. With 331 kW / 450 hp and 550 Nm of torque, the top-of-the-range model of the smallest Mercedes-Benz series is even livelier: the tuned A 45 S sprints from zero – 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 270 km/h (168 mph). In addition to the wider tires, the BRABUS sports springs, height-adjustable by means of a thread, make the handling even more agile by lowering the vehicle’s center of gravity.
