The AC Milan striker quickly focused on getting back to normal health rather than maintaining his trophy-laden career.
Ibrahimovic’s ability to play in a European Championship qualifier at the age of 41 is testament to his self-belief and resilience, reports AP. He became the oldest scorer in Serie A history on Saturday, and now he hopes to make his first appearance for Sweden against Belgium on Friday.
Since Ibrahimovic has been inactive since January of last year, following his knee surgery in May, he is not prepared to discuss how long he has left to play. Euro 2024 in Germany isn’t on his mind. During the international break, Sweden will also play Azerbaijan in qualifying and Ibrahimovic is unlikely to start. Nowadays, he sees himself more as a mentor.
