With effect from 28 February, flydubai will resume flying to Shymkent International Airport (CIT) on a twice-weekly basis. By launching flights to Shymkent, flydubai has expanded its network in Kazakhstan to three destinations, including Almaty and Astana.

A major cultural center with bustling bazaars, ancient architecture and beautiful scenery, Shymkent is the third largest city in Kazakhstan, after Almaty and Astana. It is regarded as one of the major cultural hubs in the country.
